But what is a "Trading Museum"?

Museums can be of many kinds and be founded for many purposes, such as a recreation, study, education, tourism and even for civic pride.

Trade has probably existed in one form or another for about 150.000 years. The realm of trading is where mankind's most significant meetings take place, bringing together all kinds of people, randomly and deliberately.

TRADING MUSEUM COMME des GARÇONS is the space where two above mentioned notions come together.

The Concept: the design and the furniture are by REI KAWAKUBO including 8 antique wooden show cabinets from The Victioria & Albert Museum.

BE@RBRICK 200% CHOGOKIN INTERNATIONAL LOVE HEART BY ALEXANDER GIRARD

This is the new BE@ARBRICK 200% CHOGOKIN made by the artist Alexander Girard.

The production is limited to 1000 copies and it was exclusive for Medicom's new corner at the Isetan Department Store in TOKYO.

Here it is the first image of the very anticipated collection of COMME des GARÇONS x The Beatles.

REI KAWAKUBO told WWD she opted for a "strong, conceptual" approach to the project "instead of making many unnecessary items that may in time come to resemble a Beatles souvenir shop"

" I thought it was better to concentrate on one strong idea, so I decided to construct the collection around the one idea of bags " she said.

Official launch is November 20th.
